Terms and Policies 

  • All dogs must be leashed at all times on our property outdoors and outside of fenced areas.
  • All dogs must enter clean and free of fleas and parasites.
  • All dogs that use our facilities must have up to date vaccinations. Proof of Rabies, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvo), and Bordetella are to be provided preferably 5 days before check in.
  • Dogs must be in good health and not have been ill with any communicable diseases in the last 30 days before their stay.
  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to toys or bedding due to chewing.
  • We reserve the right to decline future reservations for dogs that are overly aggressive, display excessive barking habits, or are not clean.
  • We cannot board intact male or females as they tend to be more dominant and assertive towards other dogs*. We are happy to accept intact male dogs under the age of 1 and females before their first heat.
  • If your dog is left longer than 14 days without payment, you voluntarily relinquish rights of ownership.
  • Bark Barn may use pictures of your dog during their stay on social media.  If you prefer us not to please let us know and we will do or best to exclude your dog from published images.
  • When you sign the guest agreement you are consenting to emergency medical care in the event your dog becomes ill. We will make every attempt to contact you with the numbers you provide us. If we need to cover the costs of your dog’s veterinary care it is agreed you will reimburse Bark Barn for these unforeseen costs or pay the veterinary agency directly.
  • After hours pick up or drop offs can be arranged only in advance, and on a exception basis.
  • You understand that dogs located in this type of atmosphere are susceptible to communicable disease despite vaccines and utmost care. Bark Barn cannot be held liable for such diseases.
  • Fees are based on a 24 hour stay for overnight boarding. If the stay exceeds 24 hours by more than 4 hours, up to a maximum of 12 hours an additional half day charge of $20 is applied. Over 12 hours an additional full day is charged.
  • A 15% surcharge will be added to services that fall on any stat holiday day.
  • Daycare services are suspended during specific holidays listed:  New Years Eve/Day - Family Day weekend - Easter Weekend - Victoria Day Weekend - Canada Day Weekend - Civic Holiday Weekend - Labour Day Weekend - Thanksgiving Weekend - Remembrance Day Weekend - Christmas & Boxing Day week.
  • Oral Medication must be dispensed in an original container with clear instructions on the package.
  • 13% HST will be added to all services provided by Bark Barn HST # 704727213RT0001.
  • Payment is due before or at pick up of your dog(s).

* We do not board intact males and females as other dogs can sense that there is intact dog in the kennel and often become more restless and uneasy - whether inside or outside playing. We therefore chose to put the welfare and enjoyment of all of the dogs first in our decision.
